Chocolate cinnamon swirl bread
At the moment in my spare time you'll most likely to find me browsing various for delicious recipes. With the whole moving out thing on the horizon, I'm trying to find some good sites with cheap and easy dishes to start me off. I have a huge bookmarks folder with various recipes but I'd love to know if you have any links to share as well!
Anyway, I stumbled across Budgetbytes and found a recipe for Chocolate cinnamon swirl bread. I'm not one for cinnamon but my boyfriend definitely is so I had a go at making this. It was my first time making bread and boy has it gone down well! I made the first loaf on Monday night and then when I came home from work Tuesday, the whole thing was practically gone! My boyfriend devoured it all, and generously gave a slice to one of his friends who requested me to make one for him. So that's what I spent yesterday doing! I baked his loaf but the smell of freshly baked bread was irresistable! I didn't think I'd like this bread at all but I love it! I can't taste the cinnamon so either I've written the recipe down wrong or it's just not cinnammony! Anyway, we couldn't resist and enjoyed the delicious hot bread. Of course, then I had no loaf for Graham's friend so I had to make another! Haha! It was worth it though. That is how good this bread is! It's very little effort too. Although it takes roughly four hours, it's mostly just waiting for it to rise so there's hardly any work! Here's the link to the recipe. My loaf didn't take 35 minutes in the oven, probably about 25, and if you want it to taste like cinnamon, add more. I didn't have any whole wheat flour so I just used more plain flour in the recipe, but it tasted great all the same. xo
